Jeremiah 5:24,25

A Good Parent?

If you want to know if a person is a good parent don't ask them, just watch their children.
Good parents have children that have confidence that they are loved and have a joyful spirit. Their children respect them and, though not always perfectly, listen to their parents.
If a person has raised their children in love and in a manner that truly honors the Christian faith, their children will honor it as well because they know that their parents are not fools. Although they may decide that they believe some things differently they would never mock their parent’s faith because they love and honor their parents too much.
When you see people that were raised in "Christian" homes but have a hateful rebellious attitude you know that there is a reason they don't respect their parents, even if you haven't seen it. These people generally will not respect anyone, including God.
The best way to raise a god hating, bitter, miserable adult is to be a dishonest hypocrite at home. If you want to know what kind of a person someone is just look at their children....

Famous Men Falsley Accused of Being "Atheist"

(Francis Bacon: ,critical in the development of the scientific method )

"It is true, that a little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism; but depth in philosophy brings about man's mind to religion: for while the mind of man looketh upon second causes scattered, it may sometimes rest in them, and go no further; but when it beholdeth the chain of them confederate and linked together, it must needs fly to Providence and Deity."

“They that deny a God destroy man's nobility; for certainly man is of kin to the beasts in his body; and, if he be not of kin to God by his spirit, he is a base and ignoble creature.”

“It is better to have no opinion of God at all, than such an opinion as is unworthy of him: for the one is unbelief the other is contumely; and certainly superstition is the reproach of the Deity.”

 Charles Darwin:

'In my most extreme fluctuations I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of God."
DOSTOEVSKY
“The beautiful is the ideal; with us as in civilized Europe, have long been wavering. There is in the world only one figure of absolute beauty: Christ. That infinitely lovely figure is, as a matter of course, an infinite marvel.”
(Sandoz, 1971, 42)
“I have formulated my creed, wherein all is clear and holy to me . . . I believe that there is nothing holier, deeper, more sympathetic, more rational, more manly, and more perfect than the Saviour; I say to myself with jealous love that not only is there no one else like Him, but there could be no one.”
(Sandoz, 46)
“No religion has brought the mystery of the need for atonement or expiation to so complete, so profound, or so powerful expression as Christianity.”

LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN:

“God is immaterial; as He is invisible. He can, therefore, have no form. But from what we are able to perceive in His works we conclude that He is eternal, almighty, omniscient, and omnipresent. The Mighty One, He alone is free from all desire or passion. There is no greater than He . . . His mind is self-existent. He, the Almighty, is present in every part of space. His omniscience is self-inspiredincludes every other. Of His all-embracing attributes the greatest is omniscience. For there is no threefold kind of being--it is independent of everything--O God! Thou art the true, eternal, blessed, unchangeable light of all time and space. Thy wisdom apprehends thousands and still thousands of laws, and yet Thou ever actest of Thy free will, and to Thy honor. Thou wast before all that we worship. To Thee is due praise and adoration. Thou alone art the true . . . Thou, the best of all laws, the image of all wisdom, present throughout the whole world. Thou sustaineth all things.”

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN:

"Here is my creed. I believe in one God, Creator of the universe. That He governs it by His Providence. That He ought to be worshipped. That the most acceptable service we render to him is doing good to His children."

GALILEO:

“Holy Scripture and nature, are both emanations from the divine word: the former dictated by the Holy Spirit, the latter the observant executrix of God’s commands.” Therefore “…no truth discovered in Nature could contradict the deep truth of the Holy Writ.”

“ When I consider what marvellous things men have understood, what he has inquired into and contrived, I know only too clearly that the human mind is a work of God, and one of the most excellent.” Yet the potential of the human mind “. . . is separated from the Divine knowledge by an infinite interval.” [xi]

“God could have made birds with bones of massive gold, with veins full of molten silver, with flesh heavier than lead and with tiny wings . . . He could have made fish heavier than lead, and thus twelve times heavier than water, but He has wished to make the former of bone, flesh, and feathers that are light enough, and the latter as heavier than water, to teach us that He rejoices in simplicity and facility.”[

“Whatever the course of our lives, we should receive them as the highest gift from the hand of God, in which equally reposed the power to do nothing whatever for us. Indeed, we should accept misfortune not only in thanks, but in infinite gratitude to Providence, which by such means detaches us from an excessive love of Earthly things and elevates our minds to the celestial and divine.”[, and His conception

“To the Lord; whom I worship and thank;
That governs the heavens with His eyelid
To Him I return tired, but full of living.”[xviii]
KANT:
"But if we ask who has so firmly established the laws of nature and who has limited its operations, then we will come to God as the supreme cause of the entirety of reason and nature."
"God created the world for his honor's sake because it is only through the obedience to his holy laws that God can be honored. For what does it mean to honor God? What, if not to serve him? But how can He be served? Certainly by trying to entice his favor by rendering him all sorts of praise. For such praise is best only a means for preparing our hearts to a good disposition. Instead, the service of God consists simply and solely in following his will and observing his holy laws and commands."
(Kant, 143)
"God's omnipresence is not local, but virtual. That is, God's power operates constantly and everywhere in all things."
(
Kant, 151)

"God is the only ruler of the world. He governs as a monarch, but not as a despot; for He wills to have his commands observed out of love, and not out of servile fear. Like a father, he orders what is good for us, and does not command out of mere arbitrariness, like a tyrant. God even demands of us that we reflect on the reason for his commandments, and he insists on our observing them because he wants first to make us worthy of happiness and then participate in it. God' s will is benevolence, and his purpose is what is best. If God commands something for which we cannot see the reason, then this is because of the limitation of our knowledge, and not because of the nature of the commandment itself. God carries out his rulership of the world alone. For He surveys everything with one glance. And certainly he may often use wholly incomprehensible means to carry out His benevolent aims.
LEONARDO DA VINCI:
“I obey Thee, Lord, first for the love I, in all reason, owe Thee; secondly, because Thou can shorten or prolong the lives of men.” (Richter, 1970, 237)
"Thou, O God, sell us all good things at the price of labour." (Richter, 237)
“O admirable Justice, Thou First Mover; Thou hast not wished that any force should fail the order or quality of its necessary effects.” (Richter, 237)
“The body is subject to heaven and heaven to the Spirit.” (Richter, 238)
“You think that the body is a wonderful work. In reality this is nothing compared to the soul that inhabits in that structure...It is the work of God.” (Richter, 238)
“A lie is a terrible thing. Even if it spoke great things about God it would take away from God’s grace.” (Richter, 242)
“The works of God are appreciated best by other creators.” (Richter, 387)
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
(Last Will and Testament)
"In the name of God, I William Shakespeare...God be praised, do make and ordain this, my last will and testament in manner and form following. That is to say, first I commend my soul into the hands of God my Creator, hoping and assuredly believing, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my saviour, to be made partaker of eternal life, and my body to the earth whereof it is made."
SPINOZA:
(Spinoza had a great influence on Einstein. Einstein stated, in fact, that he believed in "Spinoza's God.")
"If this be denied, conceive, if possible, that God does not exist: then his essence does not involve existence. But this (by Prop. vii.) is absurd. "Of everything whatsoever a cause or reason must be assigned, either for its existence, or for its non-existence--e.g., if a triangle exist, a reason or cause must be granted for its existence; if, on the contrary, it does not exist, a cause must also be granted, which prevents it from existing, or annuls its existence. This reason or cause must either be contained in the nature of the thing in question, or be external to it. For instance, the reason for the non-existence of a square circle is indicated in its nature, namely, because it would involve a contradiction. On the other hand, the existence of substance follows also solely from its nature, inasmuch as its nature involves existence." (See Prop. vii.)

"But the reason for the existence of a triangle or a circle does not follow from the nature of those figures, but from the order of universal nature in extension. From the latter it must follow, either that a triangle necessarily exists, or that it is impossible that it should exist. So much is self-evident. It follows therefrom that a thing necessarily exists, if no cause or reason be granted which prevents its existence. "
"If, then, no cause or reason can be given, which prevents the existence of God, or which destroys his existence, we must certainly conclude that he necessarily does exist. If such a reason or cause should be given, it must either be drawn from the very nature of God, or be external to him--that is, drawn from another substance of another nature. For if it were of the same nature, God, by that very fact, would be admitted to exist. But substance of another nature could have nothing in common with God (by
Prop. ii.
), and therefore would be unable either to cause or to destroy his existence.
As, then, a reason or cause which would annul the divine existence cannot be drawn from anything external to the divine nature, such cause must, perforce, if God does not exist, be drawn from God's own nature, which would involve a contradiction. To make such an affirmation about a being absolutely infinite and supremely perfect, is absurd; therefore, neither in the nature of God; nor externally to his nature, can a cause or reason be assigned which would annul his existence. Therefore, God necessarily exists." Q.E.D.
"The potentiality of non-existence is a negation of power, and contrariwise the potentiality of existence is a power, as is obvious. If, then, that which necessarily exists is nothing but finite beings, such finite beings are more powerful than a being absolutely infinite, which is obviously absurd; therefore, either nothing exists, or else a being absolutely infinite necessarily exists also. Now we exist either in ourselves, or in something else which necessarily exists (see Ax. i. and Prop. vii.) Therefore a being absolutely infinite--in other words, God (Def. vi.)--necessarily exists"
                                                                 VOLTAIRE:
("Atheists see Voltaire as the ultimate infidel. He openly criticized both Catholics and Protestants as they entered various conflicts, and condemned religious hypocrisy firmly. This has led many to wrongly conclude that he was the enemy of God and religion. But this is totally wrong. All along Voltaire held a firm belief in God and as he moved toward old age he became a Christian." Parton, J. Life of Voltaire, Vol. II. Boston: Houghton, Mofflin and Company, 1884)
“We want a religion that is simple, wise, grand, worthy of God and made for us; in one word we want to serve God and men.” (Pomeau, 338)
“Let’s worship this great Being ... It is He who from all eternity arranged matter in the immensity of space.” (Pomeau, 339)
“(God)is the supreme being .He is unique, infinite, eternal, creator of the world.”(Pomeau, 385)
“What is true religion? Love God and your neighbor as yourself.” (Pomeau, 386)
“If God did not exist, everything would be allowed.” (Pomeau, 660)
“(Christ) consoles in secret the hearts He enlightens. In the greatest of trials, He offers them support.” (Pomeau, 661)
 “Praying means submitting.” (Pomeau, 662)
“If God would not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him.” (Parton, 1884, P. 554)
“But all nature cries to us that He exists, that there is a Supreme Intelligence, a power immense, an order admirable, and all teaches us our dependence.” (Parton, 554)
“I die, adoring God, loving friends, not hating my enemies and detesting superstitions.” (Parton, 577)
                                                   EINSTEIN :
( Not a Born Again, Christian but certainly NOT an Atheist)
“Strenuous labour and the contemplation of God’s nature are the angels which, reconciling, fortifying, and yet mercilessly severe, will guide me through the tumults of life.”
“I am not a family man. I want my peace. I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details.”
science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”
"The scientist's religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection."
(Iain, 1982, 57)
 Abraham Lincoln:
"Nevertheless, amid the greatest difficulties of my Administration, when I could not see any other resort, I would place my whole reliance on God, knowing that all would go well, and that He would decide for the right."

"All the good the Saviour gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it. "

"I do not think I could myself, be brought to support a man for office, whom I knew to be an open enemy of, and scoffer at, religion."

Absolutely ~

Why atheism is stupid

Monday, January 01st, 2007
Just a quick post to explain why atheism is actually stupid, and requires as much faith, if not much more, to be an atheist.
All atheists posit what’s called a universal negative. A universal negative requires absolute knowledge (omniscience) whereas a universal positive may not require that.
For instance, let’s say I am in a building with 4 rooms, and I have only been in 1 room. In order to say that every room is empty, I would have to have knowledge of all 4 rooms. I would need to know the entirety of what I am claiming to know.
However, to state the opposite, that the building is not empty, I would at the very least only need to know about one room.
So, in essence, any time an atheist claims that there is absolutely no God, they are claiming absolute and full knowledge of the universe (omniscience). If they are not claiming absolute knowledge, than they are going off of faith, but in fact, since they could never EVER know for sure that universal negative, then they are requiring much more faith than a person who claims there is a God (because finding out if there is a God may not require absolute knowledge).
But hey, I don’t need to say it, it was written quite a long time ago "thefool says in his heart ‘There is no God’" (Psalm 14:1)

Christianity is a religion that requires personal responsibility with accountability to our creator for our choices.
There are many (if not most) so called Christians that use God as both an excuse for bad choices and as a 'get out of hell free' card for sinful ones. Both of these ideas are a false gospel and give the convert a false sense of non accountability. They act like any bad thing they do is not their fault because of their "nature" and any good thing they do should be attributed only to God. There is a dual ideology rampant in the church. The stupidity of this is obvious to any thinking person.
It is a fatal doctrine that tells a person that being a "Christian" consists of believing that Jesus is real and died on a cross makes you exempt from responsibility and consequence. "God told me" has been used as an excuse to commit many stupid acts and even some atrocious ones. God is not the voice leading these people.
You cannot say a magic prayer and live the rest of your life in sin and be a Christian. This empty lie has been sending people to hell since the beginning of time.
The smart man will see how weak and empty this is and reject this type of "Christianity".
The wise man will see that this is but a shadow of the truth used by the enemy to lead man astray and go past it to a much deeper truth.
Man can know God.
To be a Christian you must NOT be a lover of sin and worldliness. Sin and God are polar opposites.
Jesus came to save us from sin, here and now. It is not the born again child of God's "nature" to follow evil.
He did not come so that you can live your life in bondage and misery, just to slide into Heaven once you finally die.
If the afterlife is all that matters to God Jesus would not have come to EARTH in Human flesh and showed us how to Live in the physical here and now.
He could have sent some angels to write us a book of guidelines and rules and then left mankind to their own devices.
He chose to personally, walk with man. He is a personal God that gives His personal spirit to us for strength and guidance. He does not leave us to do it alone but he does not take away our ability to ignore Him and choose a life of waste.
The "church" and worldly church people are sending the youth to Hell in a hand basket by telling them that the "repeat after me" prayer makes them a Christian. It's a nice start but it it not the same thing as following Christ.
If your Christian faith has consisted of a historical belief, blind acceptance, fear or excuses, you have not yet been a born again Christian. You have not known the person of Jesus or felt the hand of God turn you into a new man.
If a person believes that they have done all there is to do and God is supposed to use them as a hand puppet for the rest of their life they will eventually ignore God altogether and often hate the very idea of Christianity.
Christians seem to love blaming God for everything that they do wrong or don't understand. They are often too lazy to study the reasons why we should believe a thing and would rather tell the skeptic to "just have faith". This is not Christianity!
You were created in the image of God. You have a mind and are responsible to use it. Yes, God will help you and guide you, if you seek Him with your whole heart. You have a very short life on this planet. If you make selfish, stupid or wicked choices you will reap the consequences, actual Christianity does not say otherwise.
Truly, I emphasize to you, if being a "Christian" does not make you different than those that reject God there would be no point to it. Our goal is to reach humanity NOW, to love God and our brothers NOW, to be free Now. Heaven will be an amazing place. Don't think that you can live like the devil and still get there just because you acknowledged the reality of Jesus, even Satan does that.
If you have loved a life of sin while claiming Christianity you have not been a Christian.
A man that is filled with the Spirit of Christ has the mindset of Christ. They see the world differently. They see sin as an ugly, poisonous thing, not inevitable or appealing. They don't excuse or ignore the things that God hates.
If you have been taught by people that have not lived a life of peace and victory, that love righteousness and hate sin, you have not been taught by people of God.
Don't assume that everyone that claims the title "Christian" is a sin loving hypocrite. Do not assume that because most people are preaching a cheap gospel that that is the Christian faith.
Colossians 3:5-6So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.
There are few people that have their hearts filled with the passion and joy that comes from actually seeking and knowing Christ; few, but they are still out there.

I am so grateful to know a loving and personal God.
I've thought a great deal about the arguments against His reality and the ability to deny His existance. The simple truth is that you cannot stop believing in a thing, or person, that you have personally known.
I can no more consider the possibility that God is not real than I could believe that my husband or children do not actually exist.
This is the key, knowing Him.
I have had God speak to me, lead me and love me. I have seen him miraculously touch and heal me and those I care for. I've heard his prophecies and seen them come to pass, in my own life. I have seen demons, and seen them cast out of the possessed man.
If you have only known God in theory, or consider your mind so week that it cannot be trusted, I suppose you could stop 'beleiving'.
If you've never met my husband you could convince yourself that He doesn't exist.
A blind man could say that the sun and moon are imaginary. A deaf man could say that there is no such thing as music.
Mankind is not designed to believe in things that they cannot experience.
I can choose to stop obeying or loving God but I will always know that He is there.
A lot of Christian teachers have preached that faith is believing in an untouchable, unprovable thing. This has been a grave error.
God has always interacted personally with those that are truly his children. He walked with them, talked with them and guides them. The whole point of Jesus coming to Earth and walking with His creation is so that we can know him.
If you cannot believe that God is real, because you have not actually known him, that is a sad but freely given choice. It is your choice and your responsibility.
I would say to you that you have not been to the moon, seen the bottom of the ocean or tasted every fruit on the planet. You could choose to believe that these things do not exist, or you could make a couple of other choices. You could make it your mission to prove them by experiencing them, or believe that all of the people who have are not delusional liars.
Going to church can be compared to going to a restaurant. The restaurant may be full of people but each will have made different choices. Some will have had steak, some chicken and some just a drink. Would you base your belief that the steak is good on the opinion of the person that only had water? The same is true of God. He says to taste and see that He is good. He asks you to try it yourself. He does not ask you to believe an improvable idea.
In his mercy, God has made it possible for every person on Earth to know Him in such a way that they have no doubt.
Most people that claim Christianity have not truly become a child of God. Most people base their ideas on the experiences of others. If that's all you've known, you have not truly known Jesus.
Not knowing a person does not make them non-existent. A lot of people don't know you either.

The Atheist, The hateful True Believer

The professing Atheist’s spiteful hatred of Christianity is, in itself, evidence that there is a God and that they know it.
There are many things that an Atheist  truly believes do not exist: Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy for example. While the Atheist does not believe in these  imaginary  people, they do not waste their time making web sites ,books, cartoons and having protests depicting them being murdered, raped and mocked.
The hatred that epitomizes an Atheist tells us that they do indeed know that there is a God, and that they hate him.  There is no such thing as a peaceful, loving “Atheist”.

Atheists love to say that Christians are hateful because we hate sin. We hate to see people going down a path of destruction and misery. We hate Atheism because we care about you.

When a parent tells their child not to run in the street, play with fire or run with knives is that hate?
If the child decides to do these things anyway and end up paralyzed, burned or missing an eye do they have a right to blame the parent? Or,better yet, just declare that the parent doesn't exist?
It is this ridiculous, self worshiping, self serving arrogance that epitomizes the "Atheist".
An atheist is not a person that follows no God, he is a person that has made of himself his own god. A god with no power to control his destiny or anyone elses. A god that cannot see past his own frame of reference or comprehend the vastness of time and the universe;  truly the weakest and most minuscule kind of "god" possible.
Yes, God has held back from intervening in the evils of man for a short time. It is out of love, not hate. God would be just enough to simply wipe out mankind and all of his evils. This world filled with murder, hatred, rape and sorrow. Every single person that has chosen not to follow Christ are reaping, or will reap the fruit of their own choices.
Why not stop believing in the one that actually causes this pain? Stop believing in humanity.

Recently, someone we care about has decided to be a Jesus hating Atheist. There is  nothing more heartbreaking than seeing someone reject the truth so completely and know that they are heading for an eternity separated from God.
It is not surprising, as so many people are being raised the same way this person was. People are being led in a magic "prayer" when they are 4 years old. They are being told that if they don't believe what they are told and repeat the magic words they will hurt God's feelings and spend an eternity in hell. Then they are told that if they do accept what they've been told they will be safe and happy on Earth and then spend an eternity in complete bliss. What 4-5 year old wouldn't say that prayer?
Children, and then youth, adults etc., are not told of any need for sacrifice, travail, trials or sorrow. They are not told that bad things happen to God's children and God will get us through it, not around it.
They are told that if they feel guilty for sins they have no further need of repentance and to ignore that bad feeling of "condemnation". They are seeing their families go to church while being in bondage to all of the same sins that they were in before becoming a "christian".
They are seeing their parents fight, cousins beat, foul speech, foul joking, back biting, drinking, smoking, depression and lie after lie after lie.
They are seeing half truths, empty promises, emotionalism and hypocrisy. And this is exactly what they end up thinking GOD is...empty.
They would be foolish not to reject this false religion.
Am I saying that all Christians are giddy with joy 24- 7 and never screw up? Absolutely not. What I am saying is that a Christian should never excuse, ignore or embrace a worldly sinful life. There Is victory in Christ Jesus, here and now.
When a child has been raised in church and hearing about Jesus but feeling consistently lost and burdened by the empty misery of sin, and the empty teachings of a false gospel, it destroys their soul.
Jesus did not come her to simply save us from hell, he came to save us from sin.
If we cannot have complete devotion and be willing to die for our faith, both to our fleshly desires and physically, we need to stop talking about 'Christianity' completely. It is not primarily the unsaved sending the church's children to hell, it's the church people playing church.
If a child is only told the easy parts of faith they will end up feeling about Jesus like they feel about Santa and the Easter Bunny, but with much anger added to the disillusionment.
God made the Universe. God made mankind. God has a plan and a design. God made it possible for ANYONE ,who actually chooses to,to follow His plan.
How dare we think or act like we are fit to have better judgement that the Almighty.
It is my hearts desire that the youth smart enough to realize that the preaching they've been given is empty will be smart enough to reject the preaching and not the God that made them. Satan has watered down the gospel, not only to a weakened version but a poisonous one.
