So Grateful For My MAN ~

There are so many men that don't know the first thing about being a MAN! So many guys out there that think it's acceptable to cheat on their wives, lie and prefer their own freedoms over the security and joy of their children.
There are also a bunch of foolish women, you know, the type that ignore the ring and flirt with your husband when you go to a different department in the store. The type that when your husband says "I'm married" say "yeah but are you ~happily~ married?" As if a guy that would cheat on or leave his wife ( you know, that woman that he PROMISED to love forever..) would be faithful to.. YOU?? HA, as if!
Anyway, I am just so SO happy and grateful that I have a truly good man! My man is that one in a million that does the right thing, both because he loves me and BECAUSE IT'S RIGHT.
Thank you, THANK YOU God!And thank you, THANK YOU my wonderful stud of a man!!!!!

After days of sickness, noise and Chaos my household is at rest. At this late hour my entire family is enjoying some much needed sleep while I enjoy sitting here with my coffee, listening to the thunder. I love a gentle Spring storm, especially when I have the time to enjoy it. In these peaceful moments I have been contemplating the sovereignty of God, my need for Him and the need for holiness in our daily life.
Too many proclaiming Christianity have joined with the voice of the world in mocking all standards of propriety and outward sanctification as unnecessary legalism.
I say this, while nothing I can do will earn my salvation or make me more deserving of Gods love, everything I do should reflect that I have been saved from sin and truly love my God. To love God is to hate the ways of the world. Our bodies are the temple of a holy God and yet we consistently try to separate our physical actions from holiness. Jesus took a human body to show us that what we do in our body absolutely does matter! While I have not even come close to attaining the holiness that I desire, I believe that Christianity is far more than a mental belief or spiritual occurrence.
We are to become complete and new beings; to be dead to our old self and alive IN Christ. To walk, both physically and spiritually, as HE showed us to walk.
We do not speak differently, dress differently, sing, play and love differently to earn Gods love, but rather because we love Him and He has given His all to bring us into a life of purity. How can we so easily dismiss His love and commands?"
“…If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)

“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10)

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1 John 2:4)

I want to be perfectly clear here. I AM NOT writing this as one who believes I have achieved this goal! I write this as one convicted and saddened, both by my own spiritual lethargy and by the animosity that I so often receive if I speak openly about even the smallest standard of purity. While I know a great many "Christians" I know very few people that actually want to be anything 'like Christ. Jesus was constantly giving, weary, dirty, unpopular, nonconforming, bold, aggressive, humble,meek,strong,gentle....pure. Jesus avoided all the comforts of this world and shouted 'repent!'
I aim to walk on the narrow path and to seek Gods wisdom in living a life of 'separation' and yet being a humble light in a dark world. I have failed time and time again but I will not give up. Sometimes God uses the rebellious boldness of others to show you your own weaknesses and areas you have compromised.
I do not want to excuse a selfish, ungodly lifestyle. I especially don't want to twist Gods holy word to do so! We may all see different issues concerning holiness as more pressing than others but if we are IN Christ we will not oppose any strides towards a more perfect walk.

1 Cor. 8:13 Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. Ephesians 1: 4

That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]. Ephesians 5: 27

The Law therefore is holy, and [each] commandment is holy and just and good. Romans 7: 12

Cool Breeze~

Sweet Thing~

Satans Most Loved Lies

Having a family member or friend reject Christ and spit in the face of everything our Lord stands for will definitely make you stop and look at how and why such a travesty happens.
I have seen one great lie pushed as the primary excuse time and again. It's "Be Happy". Oh yes, nothing is more important than our current and yet fleeting emotional state. If a thing makes me feel 'happy' it must be right! Who cares if it ruins the lives of others and robs them of their peace and happiness? To a truly selfish soul nothing is more important than they are, NOTHING. The tragic and yet almost comical reality is that if emotional happiness is all you seek, your encounters with it will become less and less satisfying and harder and harder to find. Your sin may make you feel good, like eating a chocolate bar, but it is empty and destructive as a means unto itself.
True joy, peace and satisfaction can only come through doing what is truly right. It comes from knowing our Creator and the beauty of his purpose for us. It come in living a life outside of selfish desire, rather than being consumed by it as a base and wild animal. Love and selfishness are absolute opposites, one CANNOT find love while living a life for self.
Anyone who has the Gaul to tell a person that their selfish choices are wrong will be labeled "negative", "judgemental", "ignorant" or many more negative, judgemental and ignorance based titles. If we know that the path a person is on is leading to quicksand we dare not warn them,as that makes us a negative (downer/unhappy) voice in their life. But if we know it and instead pat them on the back and say "Hey, it's not for me to judge! Just be happy!" then we are the best of friends.
There will always be someone out there that encourages you to get high, drink, party, sleep around, lie, steal and hurt those around you. If dumping your wife and kids makes YOU "happy" there will always be other self worshipping people that will tell you to go for it. Any and all sin will be supported by others bent on a life of self satisfaction and destruction.
If you are one of the masses ignorant enough to believe that this life is all there is then I guess lack of eternal consequence is a good enough reason for you to be completely self absorbed. On the other hand, if your religion is liberal humanism than you believe that you can be a good person without God, so wouldn't caring for the welfare of other humans be of the utmost importance to you?
In the end, whether you are religious or not, most humanity will agree that a truly selfish person is a bad one. The "Golden Rule" is an absolute rule and those who ignore it will live to regret it.
Any 'friend' that encourages ANY behavior with no more substantial reasoning than to 'be happy' is not your friend and is someone that you need to stay away from!

Psalm 1:1-5
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. "

Ephesians 5:11 "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them"

Revelation 21:8 "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Missing Sisters

I've been missing my sisters lately. Missing the ones of blood and the ones of the heart. Missing the ones lost to physical death and the ones lost to relationship death. Missing the ones separated by literal miles and the ones just 'miles' away.
Missing chats and laughs, memories and shared hobbies. Missing their children and all that we shared....as sisters.
