I Really Love My Husband ~

I really, REALLY, love my husband. He is not a "perfect" man to everyone but he is perfect for me!
He is the center of my favorite memories and best dreams.
When I hear news, good or bad, he is the first person that I want to share it with.
If I create or accomplish something he is the one I want to show my results to.
When I plan a meal or outing, it's his approval that I'm thinking most of.
When I feel as though no one will notice when I am gone, he shows me that I'm important to someone.
When I take myself too seriously, he shows me humility.
When I forget to laugh or play he says something that makes me..or tickles me if needed.
When I wonder how I ended up so worthless, he makes me feel like a queen.
When I wonder if anything I do is good enough, he appreciates me.
When I forget everything but mommyhood and cleaning, he reminds me that I'm his woman.
When I cry, he holds me.
When I've shut down, he melts my heart.
When I had spent my life closed and afraid of more rejection, he gave me a reason to trust.
God knew exactly what I needed and gave it to me by giving me to my man.

Lovin and Learnin

Last weeks learning topics have been varied and fun. I am absolutely loving the Charlotte Mason method of teaching and her book! I had already been doing thing a lot like she recommends but am a lot more relaxed about it now.
For Isaiah, I still keep him motivated with a timer for mathematics and English papers but am letting him work more on his favorite topic, history, and having him narrate from 'living' books. He is currently reading War of the Worlds as well as the educational books. Yesterday, he read a book about Christopher Columbus in about an hour. He really enjoys reading and when he brought the book back he told me that it's like he's in the book when he reads because he gets so 'into it'.
We also spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring Gods wonderful creation! Yesterday, Isaiah caught a huge dragonfly. I measured his wing span at 4 inches!
Emma, being just five, has more wiggle room. Each day I ask her what she would like to learn about and she always has an interesting answer! Yesterday, she chose the Three Toed Sloth (no idea what inspired that)and in the days prior she chose, "How babies grow" Giraffes, Zebras and butterflies.
I decided to test her ability and pulled out a 1st grade lesson book for her yesterday. She amazed me! My girl does first grade addition and subtraction with ease, as well as filling in the blanks with proper letters, tracing, counting and writing. She doesn't read books yet but I am quite certain that it won't be long now.
Also, as part of our day, she colored a sloth, painted several pictures, made tartar sauce, mopped the bathroom and played outdoors.
Noah is only two but he definitely learns new things every day. He can count to three, get his own yogurt out and open, get his spoon and bring them to his seat. He talks more and more and enjoys slang like "whaat" (with head tilt and attitude) and "gross". He loves to help me clean so it's hard to keep the broom, mop, or wet rags away from him.
I could go on and on all day and not even touch half of the thing I love about my kids but now I need to get back to living life with them, and loving it. ~

cop-out

Leaving your kids in public/ anti-God schools and saying "pray for them" while the are attacked by bully's, temptation and secularism is like dumping them in the Ocean, rowing away and saying "pray for them" while they struggle for air and the sharks gather.
Yes, pray for your kids at all times but don't forget that you have been made Gods hands and feet - USE THEM.

Tragic

I think it's a travesty that most women don't consider motherhood to be a true vocation/career! Seriously, how many people would think that they could successfully be both a surgeon and lawyer? How about an FBI Agent and a Navy Seal? Pilot and full time Daycare provider? No, not many. However, everywhere I look I see women talking about being full time students, nurses, teachers, factory workers, real estate agents... oh and a mommy, with whatever (if any) energy and time is left over. If a woman tried to properly fulfill the duties of two or three other careers she would probably get fired from one or both quite quickly
