Real man, Real Love

Last night I sat in one recliner while hubby sat in the one next to it. I had Noah on my lap and Emma had a pillow propped up so that the touching arms on our chairs made her a seat between us. We held each others hands on her lap while she held our arms. My sweet girl said "I have my mommy AND my daddy". I had so much emotion! As I told her, 'yes, and you always will' I felt so very grateful for the man God gave me and so grieved for my nieces and nephew who will never have that security and love.
I cannot comprehend being a parent that would willingly choose to only see their children a couple of times a month. The kind of parent that doesn't even love them enough to seek God and try their very hardest to have a happy family. A man should be willing to lay down his very life for his children! To be so wrapped up in ones own desires that the innocents and ability for a child to have a peaceful future no longer matters to the very person God intended to protect them from pain is a selfishness unimaginable to me.
My husband and I have had times when we thought our marriage was doomed, times when the good feelings seemed to be gone. Fortunately we also had a belief that God means what he says and that our children matter more than ANYTHING. Because of this we made the choice to NEVER give up! See, that's what love really is, a choice.
Any week excuse for a man or woman can quit. It doesn't take a bit of character to leave the battle and run for the easy path.
Thank God I have a real man!!! He stuck with me even when I was intolerable! He may not have liked me but he loved me. Because we learned that we really can trust each other to stay together "for better or worse" God has blessed us with new and stronger feelings of passion, joy and blissful unity.
God really is GOD! The idea that we can ignore His commands and walk away from it happier is a lie from the pit of hell. Who are you oh man that challenges the very wisdom of our creator? Who are you to say that His power cannot reach your life? Who are you to walk in the path of Lucifer and say that it is the right path?
May God grant mercy to those forever damaged my such wickedness and on the souls of those that perpetrate such evil on His children.
