An Awesome Year

We have had a very full year thus far. It's not over yet, and we still have a lot to look forward to, but I thought I'd share some highlights.
We decided to plan many small, but fun, events throughout the year instead of taking one big vacation. It was a good plan and I think we will do it again next year.
Some of the fun things that we did together this year include:

 The zoo Easter Egg Hunt

Getting a new puppy, and later a second dog

Spending time with my sister and family in Topeka

Going to the Lakewood Discover Salina Naturally Fair

Taking all of the kids to see 'Moon Mouse' at the Stiefel Theatre

Taking the family on a train ride for Noah's birthday. For everyone but me it was their first train ride.

 Following the Lakewood nature trail

Going to the Chisholm Trail 150 yr. event

Taking the kids to their first Drive-In movie (Guardians of the Galaxy 2)

Seeing the Piano Guys live at the Stiefel

Going to the Members Only, after hours, picnic at Rolling Hills Zoo

Going to the Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair

Taking a mini vacation with the kids to Wichita

Taking the kids to work with us

 Celebrating the 4th with friends

 Seeing the Animal Robots exhibit

Watching the Solar Eclipse

Attending the Gala of The Horses ( I have always wanted to see the Lipizzaner Stallions)

Some of the things we still have ahead of us this year:

Daddy and Emma going to the 'Home Free' concert at the Steifel

Go through the pumpkin patch and corn maze

 The Parade Of Lights

Trick-or Treating

                                                    Waiting for The Piano Guys
