Hubby is working a 14 hour day today, same as yesterday. We sure miss him when he's gone!
Isaiah is going out to play with Noah and Emma is playing with dinosaurs.
Little one is asleep on the recliner.
Last night, I made roast,carrots,two kinds of gravy,mashed potatoes and cornbread. Today we can enjoy leftovers without all the work and mess.
I am continuing my home hunting and looking foreword to another big move!

Life is sweet today.
Hubby, Isaiah and Emma are at the McDonald's play area having some fun together. The park is better but it's just too cold outside today.
Noah is asleep in my arms, which are about to fall asleep as well.
I have been getting back to my normal self. Stress and hormones made difficult situations seem almost impossible for a long time. I am so glad to have peace, joy and clarity!
God is good ~

PRAY for the nations, the PEOPLE of all nations! The prideful attitude that America is better than all others is not only ignorant but unbiblical. Christ died for EVERY human being equally!

Avatar
We all went to see AVATAR today. It was a beautifully done,New Age, futuristic depiction of American history. I considered it an experience and not just a movie!
When Emma got scared of the dinosaur creatures she threw her glasses off and covered her eyes,which was good considering that the old lady behind us kept screaming. She liked the "blue monkeys".
Isaiah thought it was one of the best movies ever. :)

Another Today
Dad is home from the hospital and we are all so glad that he's ok!
Emma looked over at me last night and said "I like my Grandpas big eyelashes". I asked which ones and she said "The ones at the bottom of his forehead." (eyebrows)
She is a riot!
Hubby is home from both jobs today. He really likes his newest job but it's still nice to have a day at home!
Kiddos are playing cars together.
Noah is in his walker, and getting mad at his hiccups.
I have a cold but will manage.
We are getting ready to go to WalMart and then to some second hand stores to look for a recliner.

Life is good
Life is a collection of ups and downs. Sometimes the downs seem to come in groups and stay too long but eventually the ups come back.
We have these amazing up times; times of falling in love,babies being born,playing with our kids,cuddles,laughs, love.
I am grateful for all of the good memories that life has brought me and for all of the ones still being made!
Life is from God and life is good. ~

My own eyes are not enough for me. I will see through
those of others. Reality even seen through the eyes
of many is not enough. I will see what others have
invented. ...Literary experience heals the wound, without
undermining the privilege of individuality.... In
reading great literature I become a thousand men and
yet remain myself.... Here as in worship, in love and
in moral action, and in knowing I transcend myself
and am never more myself than when I do… [Without
this exposure to other views of the world through
literature, one may be] full of goodness and good sense
but he inhabits a tiny world. In it, we should be suffocated.
The man who is contented to be only himself,
and therefore less a self, is in prison

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.
C. S. Lewis
You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Pro 16:2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Pro 16:3Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.Ezekiel 18:20:
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

Corn Bread
I have always been a corn bread snob. I admit it, any cornbread, other than JIFFY, has caused me to turn up my nose a bit (metaphorically) but I have finally found a recipe for corn bread that is just as good as my precious JIFFY mix!
So here it is and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!
Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread
By: BETHANYWEATHERSBY
"This is my grandmother's cornbread recipe and it's the best - sweet and moist!"
Ingredients
* 1 cup butter
* 1-1/3 cups white sugar
* 4 eggs
* 2 cups buttermilk
(I use 2 TBLSP. white vinegar and add enough milk to equal 2 cups)
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 cups cornmeal
* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square pan.
2. Melt butter in large skillet. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Quickly add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine buttermilk with baking soda and stir into mixture in pan. Stir in cornmeal, flour, and salt until well blended and few lumps remain. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
